Advanced Pyrotechnics (APT), a subsidiary of Tawazun, announced today at ISNR 2018, that it had finished the set-up of its factory and started production for a major contract with the UAE Armed Forces.
“The start of the production marks a major milestone in the journey of the company which is the only one of its kind in the GCC. Our core objective is to support customers with the right solutions to protect and maintain security for the wider community.” said Mr. Khalifa al Ali, Vice-Chairman of APT.
“Our Management Team, consisting of national and international experts, is working permanently with our customers from the Armed Forces and Ministry of Interior to deliver what is expected from us – quality products with competitive prices.” said Abdulla al Huwar, Managing Director of APT. “We have already started to offer this expertise to other customers in the GCC”
The company specialize in the design and manufacture of non-lethal, and less-than-lethal pyrotechnics products and ammunition. These products and solutions are dedicated to supporting armed forces and law enforcement agencies in the demanding and dangerous operational tasks they carry out daily to protect the society.
Operating from high-tech premises within Tawazun Industrial Park, APT works with international partners, research laboratories, armed forces and law enforcement agencies, to ensure continuous improvement of their products and development of innovative solutions.
APT facility, which has become fully operational, established five main product groups that include Flash & Bang, Non-lethal 40mm Low Velocity Ammunition with different effects, Colored & Screening Smoke, Signal Cartridges and Training Devices.
The company was launched during Tawazun’s participation in the 7th edition of the International Exhibition for Security and National Resilience, ISNR Abu Dhabi, in 2016 and is a joint company between Tawazun & MP3.
