Abu Dhabi, 24 February 2023 – Tawazun Council announced the launch of the “Tawazun Partners’ Oasis” Platform for national and international defence and security company’s registration.
The announcement was made on the sidelines of the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX 2023) and (NAVDEX 2023).
The platform allows international and local companies to register and update their information in a centralised database by creating a data management profile for each company.
The launch of this platform is part of the Council’s efforts to support the UAE’s strategy to maximise in-country value. This will provide an excellent base for national and international businesses to register their products, specifications, technologies, as well as future development programmes and business strategies.
The platform will provide Tawazun Council with insight into most recent innovations and technological solutions in the defence sector, as well as gathering data about existing local technologies, capabilities, to connect with supplier at early stage for any future need. It will be a significant repository to embed a catalogue of products and services classified by sector and business activities.
The Platform’s launch is in line with Tawazun Council’s efforts to strengthen the UAE’s position as a key player in R&D and technology by empowering companies in the defence and related industries. It will also aid in the creation of know-how and intellectual property (IP) in the UAE by leveraging Tawazun’s future procurement and R&D programmes.
Commenting on this, Ahmed Ali Al Harmoodi, Sector Chief, Acquisitions Management, at Tawazun Council, said, “The launch of this platform for the first time comes in line with the UAE’s position as a leader in the defence industry and global hubs for innovation. The platform will provide an opportunity to benefit from enterprise expertise while highlighting the most innovative solutions, technologies, and defence equipment, and will reinforce the advancement of defense and military industries.“
Through the platform, Tawazun Council will play an integral role to support the local content and programmes for national and international companies, identify technology gaps and develop new programs to solve that gap, he added.
