Abu Dhabi, 16 February 2023 – The ADNEC Group has announced the Tawazun Council as the Principal Partner for the 16th edition of the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) and the 7th edition of the Naval Defence Exhibition (NAVDEX) 2023. These events will be held from 20-24 February 2023 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and organised in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Defence.
Prior to the exhibitions, the International Defence Conference (IDC 2023) will be held on 19 February 2023 at the ADNOC Business Centre, organised by ADNEC Group in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence and in strategic partnership with Tawazun Council.
Saeed Al Mansoori, CEO of Capital Events, a subsidiary of ADNEC Group, expressed his pleasure in partnering with Tawazun Council to organise an outstanding edition of IDEX and NAVDEX, which aims to affirm Abu Dhabi and the UAE’s leading position on a regional and global level. He further stated that their partnership with Tawazun Council is in line with ADNEC Group’s commitment to collaborating with local entities to promote essential events that drive promising industries’ growth and sustainable economic growth.
Mona Ahmed Al Jaber, Director of Corporate Communication at Tawazun Council, expressed pride in being the ‘Principal Partner’ of IDEX and NAVDEX 2023, which aligns with the Council’s continuous efforts to support the UAE’s defence and security sectors. She emphasised that both Tawazun Council and IDEX share similar goals that align with the objectives of the UAE Centennial 2071 Plan, the Ministry of Industry, and the ‘Make in the Emirates’ campaign.
For the first time in the event’s history, IDEX and NAVDEX Talks, a series of interactive panel discussions, will be hosted. The exhibitions will also have the Exhibition Overview feature, providing visitors with insights into the latest features and introducing them to prominent speakers and exhibitors’ updates. Additionally, the Innovation Track Tour will enable visitors to browse through innovative products on display.
