Nimr Automotive has announced that it will take part at the Intersec 2015 exhibition – the leading international trade fair for the Security & Safety industry. This is the first time Nimr will participate at Intersec and the event – which runs from January 18th to 20th – will be an opportunity for the Tawazun subsidiary dedicated to defense vehicle manufacture to showcase its latest products.
Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the 17th edition of Intersec will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. For the last 16 years, Intersec has proven to be the ideal platform to exchange ideas and develop the MENA region’s security and safety capabilities. Last year’s Intersec was an unprecedented success with over 1,200 exhibitors and more than 24,000 visitors from 131 countries.
Dr. Fahad Saif Harhara, CEO of Nimr Automotive believes Intersec 2015 will give the Tawazun subsidiary further opportunities in the region and beyond.

Nimr’s multi-purpose vehicles have a wide range of applications ranging from tactical missions in harsh, arid environments to modern urban warfare, deep infiltration missions, reconnaissance, border surveillance, support logistics and riot control. Nimr vehicles can be employed in different situational scenarios, including as armament carriers, logistics vehicles, ambulances, or as mobile Command and Control centers.
Nimr Automotive will take the opportunity at Intersec 2015 to exhibit one of its newest products.
“We are proud to be able to exhibit one of our newest vehicles at Intersec 2015. The Nimr Internal Security Vehicle – 4X4 is specialized to carry troops and is designed for use over all types of roads, as well as in all weather conditions,” added Harhara.
The Nimr Internal Security Vehicle – 4X4 – powered by a water cooled turbocharged diesel engine – is a fast deployment riot control troop carrier. Designed to carry up to 8 equipped troops, the vehicle is fully air transportable, armor protected and coated with flame retardant coating. The vehicle’s cabin is protected with an overpressure system to allow it to be used over all types of roads.
